A Note to Myself…

This Ramadhan…I must Remember that:

When I get down into Sajda and the kids giddy up on me, I must remember, Allah is Al-Haleem (The Forbearing). Maybe it’s more about building perseverance than just performing prostrations

When my energy levels run dry and the kids push all the buttons, I must remember, Allah is Ar Rahman (The Merciful). Maybe it’s more about showing compassion than preaching independence.

When I’m about to break the long fast, and little summons of ‘wash me!’ rise from the bathroom, I must remember that Allah is Al Kareem (The Most Generous). Maybe, (undeservingly), He is giving away a huge piece of Jannat in exchange for a tiny morsel of food.

When I can finally sit peacefully on my prayer mat at night to connect with Him but they won’t fall asleep, I must remember, Allah is Al-Qadir (The Omnipotent) . Maybe He only wants to see my one hand raised in prayer while the other rocks His little creature to sleep.

When at the parking lot, after a hectic food shop, they won’t sit and buckle up, I must remember, Allah is Al-Baseet (The Expander). Maybe He’s advancing me to the next level of fasting, which is much more than refraining from just food and drink.

When I want to shut down, do nothing because I’m exhausted, hungry and thirsty but all they want to do is play, I must remember, Allah is Al-Mu’id (The Restorer). Maybe He wants to restore my energy, through laughter, love and making others happy.

When feeling thirsty, my kids insist on going to the park on a hot sunny day, I must remember, Allah is Al-Gafur (The Forgiving). Maybe He will forgive more sins for cheering climbs and pushing swing seats.

When all the mess and untidiness makes me want to explode, I must remember, Allah is As-Sabur (The Patient one). Maybe, I need to count the times I have messed up, to realise how lucky I am that HE is always willing to forgive.

When all my efforts and hard work go unnoticed with loved ones, I must remember, Allah is Al-Wahhab (The Bestower). Maybe its about feeling ashamed of my ungratefulness for His continuous and countless blessings.

When I feel compelled to use my power and dominion as an advantage over HIS Amanah, I must must remember, Allah is Al-Haseeb (The Reckoner) and not just maybe but CERTAINLY, there is no escape from HIS displeasure and reckoning.

May we all have the opportunity to embrace an upliftingly spiritual Ramadan, InshAllah!

One who writes the following two verses of Suratul Mominoon (23:97-98) with saffron on a Paak (pure) china vessel and washes it with drinking water and mixes in it some sugar and drinks it in the morning on an empty stomach and repeats this on the second and the third day, Allah, the Exalted, would cure him from this ailment Insha’Allah. The verses are as follows:

وَ قُل رَّبّ‏ِ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ
وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبّ‏ِ أَن يحَْضُرُونِ

Wa qul rabbi ao’o’dhubika min hamazaatish shayaat’eeni wa ao’o’dhubika rabbi anyah’z’uroon

Translation

“And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; An I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence.

Note

It is necessary to continue reciting them seven times everyday for fourteen days.

From Saalih bin Ahmad that he said: Abdullah bin Jabla narrated to us from Al-Alaa bin Razeen from Muhammad bin Saalim that he said: Abu Abdullah, (Imam Jaffar Sadiq) (a.s.) said: protect your property and children and keep them secure by this Dua and recite it after the Isha prayer.

Dua

اُعِیذُ نَفۡسِیۡ وَ ذُرِیَّتِیۡ وَ اَھۡلَ بَیۡتِیۡ وَ مَالِیۡ بِکَلِمَاتِ اللّٰہِ التَّامَّۃِ مِنۡ کُلِّ شَیۡطَانٍ وَ ھَامَّۃٍ وَ مِنۡ عَیۡنٍ لَامَّۃٍ

Ue’e’dhu nafsee wa dhurriyayatee wa ahla baitee wa maalee bikalimatllaahit taammati min kulli shait’aanin wa haammatin wa min kulli a’inin laammah.

Translation:

(O Allah) Protect my self and my progeny and the people of my house and my property by those perfect words of Allah from all Satans and (evil) creatures and from all the evil eyes.

 

It is the supplication with which Jibraeel (Gabriel) (a) sought protection for Imam Hasan (a) and Imam Husain (a), upon them be Allah’s blessings.

Welcoming the holy month of Ramazan

Imam Muhammad Baqir (as) says that the month of Ramazān was nearing and three days of Shabaan were left when the Holy Prophet(sawaw) told Bilal(ra) to call people to him. When people came, then Holy Prophet Muhammad al-Mustafa(sawaw) mounted the pulpit and praised and glorified Allah . Then he said, “The month, which you are going to have now is supreme among all other months. There is a night in this month, which is better than a thousand months. The doors of Hell are closed in this month and the doors of Paradise are opened. One who is not forgiven in this month – Allah also distances him. Similarly, a person has parents and is not able to get himself forgiven Allah distances him. One who does not recite Salawat when my name is mentioned in front of him, his salvation is not possible and Allah distances him.”

Dua for avoiding a problem in the worldly matters as well as matters related to the hereafter

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

It is narrated from the Prophet (s) that he said: one, who encounters a problem in the worldly matters or those of the hereafter, should recite three times:

اَلَیۡسَ اللّٰہُ بِکَافٍ عَبۡدَہُ، وَمَا لَنَا اَنۡ لَا نَتَوَکَّلَ عَلَی اللّٰہِ وَقَدۡ ھَدَانَا سُبُلَنَا، وَلَنَصۡبِرَنَّ عَلٰی مَا آذَیۡتُمُوۡنَا، وَعَلٰی اللّٰہِ فَلۡیَتَوَکَّلِ الۡمُتَوَکِّلُوۡنَ، اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّی اَنَخۡتُ بِبَابَکَ وَ اَوَیۡتُ اِلٰی فِنَائِکَ، فَافۡعَلۡ لِیۡ مَا ھُوَ اَوۡلٰی بِکَ بِرَحۡمَتِکَ یَا اَرۡحَمَ الرَّاحَمِیۡنَ۔

Is not Allah sufficient for his servant? And are we not supposed to rely on Allah while he has guided us on our paths, and indeed we would be patient when subjected to hardships. And upon Allah should rely the ones who rely. O Allah! I have stopped at your door and approached your court then do for me what is the best of you by your mercy, O the best of the merciful ones.

Quranic Ayah for avoiding disputes and fulfillment of desires

Recite the following 970 times:

کھیعص

(کاف ھاء یاء عین صاد)

(Kaaf Haa Yaa Ain Saad)

If he is able to, he must accompany it by the word:

حمعسق

(حاء میم عین سین قاف)

(Haa Meem Ain Seen Qaaf)

One can recite both the words in a single sitting 2500 times, and then ask for his Hajat, its proven effective.

These are Huroofe Muqattiaat (حروف مقطعات) from the Holy Quran and are considered one of the secrets of the Holy Quran. These might look very simple but since they are from the Holy Quran they are definitely effective if recited with purity and sincerity of the heart because Allah (azj) has said in the Holy Quran that if you could move the mountains through this Quran you shouldn’t be surprised.

Dua Ahl ath-Thugur (Supplication For The People of the Frontiers)

Supplication of Thughoor, for the success and wellbeing of the people of the frontiers (those who protect the frontiers of Muslim territories) from Sahifatus Sajjadiya (Psalm of Islam) of our 4th Imam, Imam Sajjad (May peace of Allah be with him).

This Dua (supplication) is highly recommended especially at this time of crisis. Many of our Shia scholars have urged all the followers of Ahlul Bayt (a) to recite this Dua (supplication) daily so that total victory could be achieved over the evil satanic forces.

اہل بیت(ع) نیوز ایجنسی ۔ابنا۔ سوشل نٹ ورک پر نا محرموں سے چیٹ کرنے کے بارے میں مومنین کی طرف سے پوچھے گئے سوالات کے جواب میں آیت اللہ العظمیٰ سیستانی نے فرمایا کہ انٹرنٹ کے ذریعے نامحرموں سے غیر ضروری گفتگو کرنا شرعی طور پر جائز نہیں ہے۔
مومنین کے سوالات اور آیت اللہ سیستانی کا جواب ذیل میں نقل کیا جاتا ہے:
سوال:
علم اور ٹیکنالوجی کی ترقی اور انٹرنٹ کی سہولت کے پیش نظر سوشل نٹ ورک کی وجہ سے اسلامی سماج میں بہت سارے خاندانی مسائل وجود پا رہے ہیں جن کو یہاں بیان کرنا ضروری سمھجتے ہیں۔
۱: کیا جائز ہے بیوی یا لڑکی شوہر یا ماں باپ کی اجازت کے بغیر سوشل نٹ ورک پر جس مرد سے چاہے چیٹ کرے یا برعکس مرد یا لڑکے نامحرم لڑکیوں کے ساتھ روابط برقرار کریں؟
۲: کیا جب مرد اپنی بیوی سے یا ماں باپ اپنی بیٹی یا بیٹے سے یہ پوچھیں کہ تم انٹرنٹ پر کیا کر رہے ہو اور وہ جواب میں کہیں کہ آپ سے کوئی مطلب نہیں دوسروں کے ذاتی کاموں میں مداخلت کرنے کا آپ کو کوئی حق نہیں۔ تو کیا یہ عمل درست ہے؟
۳: کیا شوہر یا والدین کو یہ حق حاصل ہے کہ جب بیوی یا اولاد دوسروں سے انٹرنٹ پر مخفی طور پر روابط قائم کریں تو وہ انہیں اس کام سے روکیں؟ دوسرے لفظوں میں ایسے موارد میں شوہر یا والدین کا کیا فریضہ ہے؟
آیت اللہ سیستانی کا جواب
نا محرم مرد اور عورت کا ایک دوسرے کو ایس ایم ایس کرنا یا وائس چیٹ کے ذریعے ایک دوسرے سے روابط قائم کرنا شرعا جائز نہیں ہے مگر ضرورت کی حد تک۔ اور سزاوار نہیں ہے کہ عورت اس طریقہ سے سوشل نٹ ورک پر چیٹ میں مشغول ہو کہ شوہر کی نگاہ میں مشکوک ہو جائے اور اسی طرح اولاد بھی۔ بلکہ بعض موارد میں یہ کام حرام ہے مثال کے طور پر بیوی کا طریقہ کار اس قدر مشتبہ ہو کہ عقلاء کی نگاہ میں شوہر کے حقوق کے ساتھ منافات رکھتا ہو یا اولاد کا یہ عمل والدین کی اذیت و آذار کا سبب بنے۔
اور اگر مسائل کا حل شوہر یا والدین کو چیٹ کے میٹر سے آگاہ کرنے پر موقوف ہو تو اگر ایسا کرنے میں کوئی حرج نہ ہو تو یہ کام کرنا ضروری ہے۔ کلی طور پر یہ جان لینا ضروری ہے کہ شوہر بیوی کی نسبت اور والدین اولاد کی نسبت شرعی ذمہ داری رکھتے ہیں۔ خداوند عالم کا ارشاد گرامی ہے: (یَا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَکُمْ وَأَهْلِیکُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَیْهَا مَلَائِکَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَا یَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَیَفْعَلُونَ مَا یُؤْمَرُونَ) اے ایمان والو! اپنے آپ کو اور اپنے اہل و عیال کو اس آگ سے بچاؤ جس کا ایندھن انسان اور پتھر ہوں گے، اس پر تندخو اور سخت مزاج فرشتے مقرر ہیں جو اللہ کے حکم کی نافرمانی نہیں کرتے اور جو حکم انہیں ملتا ہے اسے بجا لاتے ہیں۔
لہذا بیوی اور اولاد کو چاہیے کہ اس وظیفے کو انجام دینے میں اپنے شوہر اور والدین کی مدد کریں اور اگر ایسا نہیں کریں گے تو شوہر اور والدین کی ذمہ داری ہے کہ وہ امربالمعروف اور نہی عن المنکر کے فریضے کو انجام دیں۔
